Unlike the other “conversion” kits on the market, the Apex chassis combined with our drop-in 16” barrel will ACTUALLY CONVERT your pistol to a bullpup rifle. What is The APEX Glock Conversion Kit

META Glock conversion kits are becoming more and more popular every day. Here at META Tactical, we all love conversion kits, has designed the world’s first-ever bullpup style pistol carbine conversion kit. Glock conversion kits are the most popular. The APEX series bullpup carbine conversion supports more than Glock handguns. A P80 (Polymer 80) Glock bullpup conversion is also supported. Along with many other models to come such as our (S&W) Smith & Wesson carbine conversion kit and other popular hand gun conversion kit models.

One of META Tactical’s best features is how simple it is to use – even when swapping out your 4” in barrel for META Tactical’s proprietary 16” barrel. It allows you to turn your pistol into a carbine style compact rifle with ease. Our compact bullpup conversion kit design was inspired by other popular micro conversion kits such as the CAA MCK micro conversion kit, the Micro Roni or Roni conversion kit, Recover Tactical pistol conversion kit, FAB Defense, and others who have created great handgun conversion kits and related products and accessories.

At META Tactical, we set out to build upon these giants and create a product that would avoid the tax stamp scrutiny related to most conversion kit stabilizer brace laws. Many believe these laws are a violation of our rights, however the ATF may advise lawmakers to ban stabilizer brace products, and they may be made illegal in the near future.

Our APEX series, lovingly known by many as the “Glock Bullpup” or “Bullpup Glock”, (see SHOP page to review all P80 pistol conversion kit options and S&W carbine conversion kits available) avoids these unfair regulations. By providing a 16 inch barrel for a Glock and measuring at a 26” overall length, the APEX carbine conversion kit is allowed to have a stock (not a stabilizer brace), as well as allowing the use of legal vertical grips and other accessories.

The APEX series bullpup conversion kit features our proprietary 16” glock barrel (available stand-alone for $300 retail). Once the barrel is swapped into your Glock pistol, simply slide your Glock into the APEX chassis and you have your bullpup Glock (or bullpup P80 Glock / bullpup pistol S&W !)

Speaking of Glock carbines, have you seen Glock’s patent for the Glock Carbine?

We couldn’t wait, as there’s no guarantee this patent will come to life anytime soon…so we designed the next best thing! Our APEX series Glock pistol conversion kit is all Glock for the “engine”, with our APEX Glock chassis to support the extra barrel length and allow use of all your favorite accessories. Our 16” barrel for Glock has tons of testing to ensure reliability, accuracy, and safety. It’s not much different than any other 3rd party barrel, (other than the awesome 16” length) so you are ensured the great Glock reliability we all know and love! Meta Tactical’s bullpup rifle kit will turn your Glock or other handgun into a Glock carbine with full support for all the best Glock accessory and rifle accessories. Want to use a 50 round drum for Glock ? No problem! Want to use Glock high capacity magazines? You got it! Most Glock with extended clips are supported as well.

Our handgun conversion kit supports 9mm Glock 19, 9mm Glock 179mm Glock 26, even the 9mm Glock 34 like the gun in John Wick! Don’t worry though, .40 Glocks like the .40 Glock 22.40 Glock 23.40 Glock 27 – and .45 Glocks like the .45 Glock 21 are supported too. We even have a conversion kit for the 10mm Glock 20!

Order your bullpup Glock carbine conversion kit today!

Is the APEX Suppressor Compatible?

The Meta Tactical Apex has seen success being fired while suppressed with subsonic ammunition. We cannot guarantee every suppressor will work as there are many options available. We recommend using a suppressor with a booster/Nielsen device to ensure the best level of functionality along with subsonic ammunition. We understand that all ammo is not created equal, so you may need to do some experimentation if you see failures.

The thread on your APEX barrel is not a common suppressor thread. The thread spec is 9/16″ x 20. The functionality of your 16″ drop in barrel relies highly on the weight distribution of the barrel after installation. The suppressor market has a wide range of products with a high variance of weight and pressure. After testing a few products, the META team made the decision to release the product with an atypical thread to reduce the risk of our users attaching a barrel of improper weight and thus causing failures.

META Tactical is working on compiling documentation of our internal testing along with user feedback to publish a list of compatible ammo and suppressors. Please let us know if you’re having success with a particular combination as we would love to share your success with our community!

If your barrel thread is 9/16″x20, we now manufacture adapters that will be available to purchase for the typical 9mm (1/2×28) thread size. The Thread Adapter link is here.

Is the APEX CCK legal in California?

We can sell into California and we can ship to California. However, for you to use in California will take some adjustments on our end to be compliant with the laws of the state. We are working through how to make it legal to use in CA including a fin grip, longer overall length, legal muzzle brake, and stationary rifle stock to name a few. The hope is by the ship date, we will have a CA-specific model that is legal. Stay tuned.

How To Clean A Glock Conversion Kit

Cleaning your Glock pistol is an easy task. Some people argue that there is no need to clean your Glock, however at META Tactical, we like to keep our guns clean – especially our 16” barrels for Glock.

Cleaning your Glock Pistol

To start, always make sure your Glock pistol is unloaded and that there is no round in the chamber. It is advisable to remove all ammunition from the room when cleaning your Glock pistol, as many accidents occur every year from cleaning firearms. It’s a good idea to always check that your gun is safe and unloaded before you pull the trigger if you’re not on the range and ready to fire safely.

Once you’ve ensured that your Glock handgun is unloaded, the next step is to make sure the trigger is not reset (simply pull the trigger on an empty chamber).

Removing the Glock Slide

Next, slightly pull back the slide of your Glock, and then pull and hold down the release tabs on both sides of the Glock handgun at the same time, while still holding the slide back slightly. Once you have the tabs all the way down, release the slide and pull it forward. It should slide right off, barrel and all. If you meet any resistance, try the above steps again. Ensure the trigger is down, the slide is pulled back slightly, and the release tabs are all the way down.

Removing the Recoil Spring and Barrel

Next, you can remove the recoil spring/guide rod from your Glock pistol. It should pull out with ease. Once the recoil spring is removed, the barrel of your Glock will no longer have anything retaining it, so be cautious that it does not fall out.

With the recoil spring assembly removed, remove your Glock factory barrel. You should now have 4 components: your Glock frame, your Glock slide, your Glock barrel, and your Glock recoil spring & guide rod assembly.

Clean Your Glock

Now that your Glock handgun is disassembled, you have a few options for cleaning it. Many people enjoy using bore snakes to clean the barrel, with their choice of bore cleaner. META Tactical sells bore snakes for multiple calibers here. (hyperlink) You can use your solvent of choice to clean the barrel. Simply apply a bit of solvent to the front end of the bore snake, in front of the copper bristles (if your bore snake has bristles), and a bit of lubricant to the back end of the bore snake. Drop the weighted end of the bore snake down the barrel, and pull it through the barrel to clean it. Repeat this a few times and your Glock barrel is cleaned!

Clean Your APEX Bullpup Glock Carbine Conversion Kit

Due to the 16″ Glock barrel and chassis design, there are not many areas that require cleaning in your APEX Carbine Conversion Kit due to use. The main area is the ejection port. You can use a rag or nylon brush, along with some dish soap to clean the plastic chassis. A light coat of WD-40 will bring the plastic back to a nice luster. To clean the internals of the Glock frame and slide a solvent is used. Then, we finish it off with a light coat of oil to keep everything lubricated and rust free.

How to sight in or “zero” an optic on your APEX

Shooting the META Tactical APEX-Series Carbine Conversion Kit is a total riot, but i f you’ve never shot a pistol or handgun conversion kit, it is definitely worth the time to get your APEX-Series properly zeroed in. To get a good feel for where to place your optic on your rifle, or on the APEX series bullpup style carbine conversion kit, first extend the stock to a comfortable position. A good guideline to follow to find the right stock position is to place the butt end of the APEX bullpup conversion kit or your rifle on your bicep, and hold the pistol grip with your firing hand, with your finger resting on the trigger. Glock conversion kits are the most popular carbine conversion kits so we’ll use Glock for reference, but please note that META Tactical offers carbine conversion kits for P80 and S&W. Hold the Glock bullpup or other rifle up towards the ceiling, and adjust the stock until your arm is making a 90 degree angle. Your trigger finger should feel comfortable and not strained.

Next, install your optic onto your bullpup Glock or other rifle. Install your optic onto your top rail in a comfortable location. Not too far forward, and not too far back. On our APEX series bullpup conversion kit, we recommend placing the optic on the rail, above the pistol grip – between rail slots #10 and #16 seems to be the ideal location for most shooters. Some people prefer using an optic riser with our bullpup conversion kit, but the process is the same.

Time to head to the range with your Glock bullpup! Set a target out at the distance where you want to zero your optic, and take a few steady shots with your APEX series Glock conversion kit. This is best done from a bench rest. Record where your rounds hit in relation to where you were aiming the bullpup Glock. Now it’s time to adjust the optic. You will want to “move” the bullet holes on the target, towards the dot on your Glock, using the dials on your optic. For example, if you are low and to the right (say, 4 or 5 o’clock), you will want to twist the dials towards the “left” and “up” indicators, to “move” the holes in the target to the “left” and “up”, towards where your optics dot was aiming on the target. You can use math to find out roughly how many turns or clicks to spin each dial, but to keep things simple, most shooters will just spin the dials a little bit at a time. Note: A common misconception is trying to “move” the dot on the optic towards the bullet holes (or point of impact), causing frustration. The directional indicators on the optics’ dials indicate which way to move your point of impact, not which way your optics dot will move. (ex. “UP” will move the dot on your optic down, and “LEFT” would move your dot to the right.)

Next, take a few more shots. Once again, repeat the above process and record where the bullet holes are on the target, compared to where the dot on your optic was aimed. Repeat the above process of “moving” the bullet holes towards the dot on the optic if your point of impact is still a bit off. With a bit of patience, you’ll have your optic zeroed in no time and be ready to enjoy your new APEX series bullpup glock!

Our APEX series bullpup glock conversion kit holds zero remarkably well, as your handgun returns to the same spot every time. Our APEX series bullpup carbine conversion kit features many more retention points inside of the chassis to hold your Glock securely in place, as well as to return it to the same spot every time it is re-inserted into the chassis, than some of our competitors.

Benefits of Holding Zero

Leave your optic on our APEX series bullpup carbine chassis and you can take advantage of your Glock in its pistol form when you need a handgun. Simply pull your Glock out and swap back to your original pistol length barrel. When you’re done using the Glock as a handgun and need the utility of our bullpup carbine, simply swap in our 16” barrel for Glock, and re-insert your pistol into our APEX bullpup Glock chassis, and you’re good to go!

How to change your beavertail lock FOR AN M&P 2.0 APEX Kit

  • Use the “sub-compact” beavertail for 3.6” barrels + subcompact frame
  • Use the “compact” beavertail for 3.6”,4”& 4.6” (threaded) barrels + compact frame
  • Use the “full” beavertail for 4.25”,4.6” (threaded) & 5” barrels + full-size frame

Remove the existing Beavertail and Carrier by pulling it straight out of the slot of the rear door. Change the Beavertail by inserting the desired beavertail into the front of the carrier. Simply re-insert into the rear door slot and bolt back in.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can properly insert and remove your firearm from the MX1 chassis system with ease. Always double-check for a secure fit and ensure proper alignment to avoid issues.
