Fits my Glock 23 .40 ACP and also my 19x 9mm. Perfectly. Awesomeness!!!! Adding my accessories now.
Easy to use. Nice tight fit with Glock 34. Improved accuracy to 50 yards. Easy to keep on target at 100 yards. Nice quality. Very light and small form factor.
I used a Glock G45 and the default Glock adapter. Conversion is straight-forward, no issues. I got the Ultimate Upgrade with it and installed all of the accessories.
I chose to install the left and right thumb rest, so I opted to mount the flashlight at the bottom rail with an M-Lock adapter.
I’d like to mention that I have another MX-1 with the Dagger Compact. Installation was also a breeze with just a bit of additional task, changing the default Glock adapter to the Dagger adapter. Will be posting a separate review.
Iโm writing this review from the perspective of not being a Glock guy. I started with S&W, and just stayed in that lane, only branching out to get an Sig or Walther every once in a while. But you know how it is, a $349 Gen 5 Glock 17 trade in pops up on the gundeals subreddit right when I have a little extra money in the bank and wellโฆnow I own a Glock. And unfortunately once I get my hands on it , it just feels terrible to me. The grip angle is throwing me off, I canโt hit shit with it, it just feels wrong in my hand. So I put it in the back of the safe and planned on never really using it. I was sort of bummed, becauseโฆyou knowโฆitโs a Glock. Legendary, bomb proof, always goes bang. But I just didnโt have a use for it.
Cut to a few weeks ago, I see a video about the Flux Raider. I donโt have a P320 because I donโt want a ghost to pull the haunted trigger and shoot my nuts off, but that made me think that a chassis conversion could be a great use for my dormant G17. Did some research, figured out which Glock chassis were well liked, which were the best value, aaaaand then of course bought the Apex MX-1 because it looked the coolest (I also think it was the best value, personally).
Long story short, I love this thing. It took a gun I never touched and turned it into something I now canโt wait to get out to the range with again. Itโs fun to shoot, really controllable and ergonomic, and really takes the level of โarmedโ that I feel up a couple notches. If there was some active shooter in my grocery store, Iโd grab my MX-1 over my tricked out John-Wick-lookin-ass pistol that I train with all the time. It simply makes me more lethal. And on top of the great design, itโs built extremely well. It feels like and is built like a firearm in its own right, not a piece of plastic that I slap on a firearm.
I got the full accessories kit as well. If you have a bunch of guns you might have a lot of this stuff laying around, but especially if youโre someone with just a few guns, I think the accessory kit is an amazing value. They are good flip up sights, as good as just about any polymer set youโll find out there for $75+ from Magpul. The grip is great, a must have even if you donโt get the full accessory kit. The sling actually is perfect for this size setup, I have a million slings but no single points designed for something this small. Everything in the kit is solid and well made.
All in all, a very good value, really great build quality. Itโs like a Kel-Tech level cool idea and design, but if it was made by FN or some other rock-solid forward thinking company. Especially if youโre someone like me with a Glock sitting around picking up dust, there couldnโt be a better use case. Great product, thanks Meta.
High quality item. Fit and finish is great. I would have liked to have seen blue threadlocker on the fasteners as I’ve already had some screws start to back out and interfere with mounting/removing weapon from MX-1 chassis.
